The character of Hange Zoe first was introduced in the Attack on Titan manga at the start of Volume 3, where they were introduced as the Survey Corps’ eccentric titan researcher. The compassion shown by the scientist and inventor of the monsters in the series was an uncommon trait among humanity’s defenders. After the death of Commander Erwin Smith alongside most of the Survey Corps forces in the Battle of Shigashina, Hange assumed the command of the division, helping to rebuild it into the force of combat that plays a crucial role in the war against Marley and the other dangers to humanity which appeared in the series’ second half.

Attack on Titan was developed by Isayama in the year 2009. It has been a massively successful anime and manga series in Japan over the past twenty years. The manga has sold more than 100 million copies all over the globe. The anime adaptation was first released in 2014. The series was initially produced by Wit Studio (Ranking of Kings and Vivy: Fluorite eyes’ Song), but production was moved to the studio MAPPA (“Jujutsu Kansen, Yuri!). on Ice) for the series’ fourth and final season. The original manga written by Isayama was abruptly brought to an end to a halt in 2021. Fans and critics had mixed reactions to the conclusion of the chapter. The contentious end to the manga has affected the popularity of the series, however, as the premiere episode of Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 was released on Jan. 9 and proceeded to instantly cause the anime streaming service Crunchyroll to go down due to the overwhelming demand on its servers. MAPPA has released new artwork from the series to coincide with the debut of each episode of the final half-season, the most recent installment was focused on Eren, Zeke, and Grisha Jaeger.

The previous seasons of the show are available through a variety of streaming services that include Crunchyroll and Funimation. Kodansha USA now has the entire manga series available in English.
