Jolyne Cujoh’s English voice actor Kira Buckland shows off a stunning costume of the Stone Ocean protagonist at this year’s Anime Expo.

Actress Kira Buckland showed her love for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure_s Jolyne by co-singing the character.
Buckland, who voiced Cujoh in Netflix’s English dub of the anime and wore a costume to Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure panel at this year’s Anime Expo in full cosplay. The actor’s outfit was designed by a professional cosplayer Fabrickind and a costume was designed and made by Diana Soreil. Buckland has been an avid fan of the show and has cosplayed as Jolyne before when she was chosen to play Jolyne, a role she said was “the biggest dream role of my entire career.”

Buckland is well-known for her character as the Stone Ocean rebellious hero. She also appeared in several other anime series, including Edens Zero and To Your Eternity. In addition, she was a major character in the Netflix dubs Kakegurui, and Komi Can’t Communicate. Jojo is also a part of the shonen anime mega-hit Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaaiba. In this show, she is the character Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji. She will be a key character in the adaptation of the anime series Swordsmith Village. Buckland will reprise her role as Jolyne in Jolyne’s role in the Stone Ocean anime’s second part. The next episode of the Stone Ocean anime will be available on Netflix at some point in the fall. The highly anticipated anime adaptation of the sixth installment of the series debuted in December. The show is currently released in Japan weekly, on Netflix, and on Warner Bros. Japan will release the next batch of episodes worldwide in 12 episodes each. The show is set in the year 2011, and Stone Ocean moves the setting of the show to everybody’s most loved state of Florida, and centers on Jolyne Cujoh who is the daughter of Stardust Crusader’s adored hero Jotaro Kujo. Jolyne is sent to prison for a crime that she didn’t commit. Once there she’s entangled in the long-running struggle between her family and Dio Brando’s followers.

The original Stone Ocean manga was published in 1999 and ran until 2003. Hirohiko Araki’s ongoing epic wrapped up the first part 8 of the series, Jojolion, in 2021 and is currently suspended as Araki takes a break and prepares Part 9 of the series, which is tentatively called “Jojolands.” The series is in the process of commemorating its 35th anniversary through several Jojo-themed exhibitions in Japan as well as Araki was also a part of the upcoming 40th anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball series by contributing some illustrations to a celebration that the publisher Shueisha is hosting.
