A cosplayer has introduced God of War’s Kratos to Reddit with the help of the Leviathan Axe and Walter White-turned-Mimir.
Kratos may have rivalry ahead of God of War Ragnarok‘s release after a cosplayer put their spin on the titular deity.
Reddit user u/BootlegMoon posted their take on a female version of the Ghost of Sparta in all its fierce glory. The costume includes a replica Leviathan Axe, which is a mix of fur and armor, Kratos’ signature red tattoos, and the head of Mimir. When commenting on the prop that was decapitated, BootlegMoon says that Mimir’s head started as an original Walter White mask before it was stuffed, glued, and then lightly painted to create the desired look. In regards to the part of the costume BootlegMoon was most pleased with, they commented, “Mimir was probably the most fun to put together.”

The main character in the God of War franchise is Kratos. Beginning as a dedicated soldier of Sparta He was later made the Greek god Ares the champion to turn the tide of an unpopular battle. Ares was known to use Kratos to his advantage, before taking his family’s life in a fit of rage. This was his revenge act against the gods that earned him the title of Ghost of Sparta.
Kratos The story is believed to have ended following God of War 3. After beating his father Zeus to death and systematically murdering the rest of the Greek pantheon, Spartan gave up his life to bring the power of hope to the world which was preserved by Pandora’s Box, and later Kratos. The fate of his sacrifice was not known until the God of War Soft reboots in the year 2018.

Now older, wiser, and a family man Kratos returned to his consoles in the cold winter setting of Midgard. The journey begins with him and his young son, Atreus, attempting to deliver the ashes of his late wife, Faye, to the tallest peak in all the Nine Realms. Unknowingly, the two get on a collision course with the land’s ruling party, the Aesir god, and triggers an array of events leading up to the Norse version of the Apocolypse. After surviving their first encounter and surviving their first encounter with the god, the father-son duo returns to Ragnarok to stop the predicted conclusion.
God of War Ragnarok will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on Nov. 9.
