A Cosplay for the Ages: Chris Evans and Hemsworth Applaud Delightful Captain America Outfit Deserving of Mjolnir

Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth celebrate a young fan who recreates Captain Marvel’s greatest Avengers: Endgame moment.

Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth recently praised a fan’s adorable Marvel Cinematic Universe-inspired cosplay.

Evans and Hemsworth who play the MCU versions of Captain America and Thor both praised the costume on Twitter. Hemsworth initiated the discussion by retweeting an image of an unidentified young MCU fan dressed up in the role of Cap and carrying a replica of Thor’s hammer Mjolnir to commemorate World Down Syndrome Day. The Aussie actor gave a shoutout to Evans and asked whether he believed that the young fan (like his idol) was worthy of Mjolnir’s power. Evans replied enthusiastically, describing the cosplayer as “100%” worthy and praising the ease with which he hefted Mjolnir.

Captain America’s capability to use Mjolnir is among the most significant revelations in Avengers: Endgame that also served as Evan’s MCU swansong. Since then, Evans has made it clear that he does not plan to return to the MCU since he’s worried that it could affect his character from the past as Steve Rogers. That said, Evans admitted in a recent interview that he isn’t enjoying playing Captain America, which Evans described as a pleasurable experience. “You get paid to take care of yourself and become the ultimate superhero,” he said. “This is exactly what you’d like to do when you were a child.”

Chris Hemsworth Talks Thor 5

Hemsworth opted not to follow Evans into MCU retirement following Avengers: Endgame and instead, portrayed Thor, the God of Thunder for the second time in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder. What’s more, the on-screen message after the film revealed that Hemsworth will reprise his role in other, forthcoming MCU projects. The news seemed to have caught him off guard. Hemsworth stated that he would consider returning for a fifth Thor installment if it does not follow the same pattern that its predecessors did. He added, “I’ve said it before but when it gets too familiar I think it’s possible to become lazy because I know precisely the way I’m going to do it.”

It’s currently unclear what kind of story Thor 5 would reveal should Marvel Studios moves forward with the sequel. Thor’s middle credits sequence suggests a battle between Thor and Brett Goldstein’s Hercules. But, it is entirely possible that this fight scene (if ever it occurs) could be portrayed in a future MCU movie or television series. In a recent interview, Goldstein spoke about how the Thor/Hercules fight might end. He joked that his character might make use of heroin to take on Odinson.
